Our guided expeditions will take you to some of the most remote and wildest places remaining in North America. Because of the extreme remoteness of these trips we do require persons participating to be at a moderate fitness level as a minimum.  Special arrangements can be made to accommodate physically challenged persons on certain trips.  Please call for details. Your safety is our first concern; our professional guides will assess each situation and decide on the safest course of action. Should you require fixin’ up, each of our trip leaders is trained in wilderness first aid. In addition to their training, we supply them with a satellite phone which allows them daily contact with our base so if there is trouble we can be there in a matter of hours. Previous paddling experience is not required on most guided trips. Your guides will take the time to orient and instruct everyone before we depart from Red Lake and will continue to teach paddling technique and theory throughout your expedition.

Our guided expeditions are open to everyone; couples, families, groups and singles are all welcome.  We include accommodations before and after your trip, all paddling and camping equipment, shuttles, food, flights and fun. All you need to bring is your own clothing, toothbrush and fishing gear.  Trips are based on a 6-person minimum and rates may be subject to change. Custom expeditions of any group size can be arranged and tailored to your needs.

Opasquia Park Paddle – Opasquia Provincial Park

After a three-hour float plane trip deep into the heart of our Northern Boreal Wilderness, we off load the plane and say good-bye to our last physical connection with civilization as the plane flies off into the distance.   From here we paddle and portage the rivers and lakes in one of the wildest places on the continent.  Keep an eye open for the elusive woodland caribou, moose and possibly even a rare wolverine. Listen for the distant howl of the wolf or the haunting cry of the loon, sounds that stir the primitive soul. The portages are so seldom used that moss and lichen still cover most trails.   A fishery of unbelievable quality waits for you to test your skills with trophy northerns and walleye. Signs of the indigenous people of the north are here for the sharp-eyed traveler to see. This is after all, their land that we visit.
