Base Camp Fishing Trips

Rough it in style on one of our base camp fishing trips. Fly into a lonely lake with hungry fish and fish, fish, fish or…. swim, sunbath, hike or just lounge about.  You can afford to do what you want, when you want because you don’t need to worry about breaking camp, paddling, portaging and setting camp again because you have no need to go anywhere, except possibly to the other side of the lake to look for the big one.   And if you think you are going to be roughing it, think again. In addition to our standard complete outfit gear, we will include a three man tent for every two people, extra thick luxurious therma-rest mats, a complete kitchen pack and we’ll even include a kitchen sink, a two burner propane stove, propane lanterns, comfortable camp chairs and a screened shelter to keep the bugs at bay while you cook and dine.  Even your meals will be special with the additional foods you would not normally consider taking on a canoe trip.

Per person rate of $80.00 per day plus plane charter costs, which can range from $250 -$12,000 depending upon location and party size.  Woodland Caribou to Opasquia Provincial Parks, Lake Winnipeg to Hudson Bay to James Bay and anywhere in between.

Shuttle Services

Ground Shuttles

Goldseekers Outfitting offers Red Lake’s most reliable shuttle service.  Period.  We believe that when our clients put their trust in us and decide to utilize our shuttle service, it is our duty to show up on time, every time. Being late is not an option under all but the most extenuating of circumstances.  We have a system of checks and balances with multiple redundancies that ensures we show up where and when we are expected.  That being said we can honestly say that since 1992 we’ve been late twice, and each time managed to forewarn our guests that we would be late –we’ll gladly share the details if you want to hear some interesting bush stories.

Our shuttle vehicles have been selected for their ability to safely and reliably function on the primitive roads used to access Woodland Caribou Provincial Park.  Vehicles are inspected yearly and are maintained regularly by our mechanic who is himself an avid paddler and understands the need for reliability in the bush.  As an added measure we carry equipment to allow us to pass through all but the most severe of washouts so if we can’t make it, no one will.

The choice is simple!

Vehicle Shuttles

Have you consider paddling across Woodland Caribou Provincial Park to experience its rarely visited western side as well as see Manitoba’s Atikaki Wilderness Park but think you can’t do it without avoiding the high cost of a float-plane charter.

Is running the Bloodvein, Berens, Pigeon, or Poplar rivers in their entireties only a dream because you don’t want to pay the high cost of a float-plane charter?

Do you consider running these rivers a logistical nightmare because you can’t find the time to do all the driving involved in dropping off a vehicle at the take out, then drive to the put in, paddle the river, then drive back from the take out, to pick up your vehicle left at the put in?

Would you simply like to start a trip from one access point and finish at another?

We offer a simple economical solution to all those difficult situations. A vehicle shuttle in which your vehicle is placed upon our car hauler and safely delivered to your take out point at a date and time you specify. Rates to Woodland Caribou Provincial Park’s eastern access points are the same per vehicle as four person ground shuttle rates listed above.

Ground and Vehicle Shuttles to Manitoba Access Points and Thunder Bay Airport

Manitoba’s Atikaki Wilderness Area -Wallace Lake campground $1300.00
Matheson Island Ferry or Bloodvein River Bridge  $1500.00
Beresford Lake Manitoba $1300.00
Winnipeg Airport  $1400.00.
Thunder Bay Airport  $1450.00

Boat Shuttle Rates

At Goldseekers we no longer offer water shuttles because of Transport Canada Regulations surrounding the transportation of paying passengers on a boat that does not meet Transport Canada Passenger Vessel Safety Regulation standards and the operation of a boat carrying paying passengers by an unlicensed captain.  We are able to put you just as far if not further into the park for far less expense using our ground shuttle service.

Trip Planning Service

Go to New York City or L.A. with out a map and an idea of where you’re going to stay? You’ve got to be kidding! Right? When venturing into new territory, especially an area as large and remote as we serve, knowing what lies around the corner can make the difference between an enjoyable wilderness adventure and a nightmare you would just as soon forget. After all there are no phones around the next bend in the river (unless you’ve rented one of our satellite phones) Our trip planning will show you all the features you will need to know for a safe, fun, interesting and enjoyable trip.  Features include portages, rapids, campsites, historical sites, beaches, cliffs, geological points of interest, areas of frequent animal sightings and of course fish species for each lake complete with some of our favourite fishing holes.
